Commencing her journey as a PreK teacher, Dr. Ratcliff's path led her to become an esteemed figure in the educational realm. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and proceeded to attain her Masters of Science in Guidance and Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from the same institution. Her career as a counselor encompassed roles as a Mental Health Counselor, Substance Abuse Counselor, Crisis Intervention Counselor, and Economic Self-Sufficiency Counselor, with significant engagements at entities like Disc Village, Apalachee Center, and the Department of Children and Families. Dr. Ratcliff's contributions have not gone unnoticed, as she has been honored with recognitions such as the Florida Department of Children and Families Round Robin Award and the Fraud Prevention/Investigation Award.

Dr. Ratcliff's trajectory led her to Clayton County Public Schools in 2000, where she assumed the position of a guidance counselor at Pointe South Elementary. While fulfilling this role, she pursued her Educational Leadership certification from Troy University and embarked on her Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Argosy University. Demonstrating her versatile capabilities, she was appointed as assistant principal at River’s Edge Elementary in 2008. Subsequently, she played a pivotal role in the inception of Eddie White K-8 Academy and later transitioned to McGarrah Elementary, showcasing her adaptability and leadership acumen. In 2016, she ascended to the position of principal at E.W. Oliver Elementary, where her leadership ethos fostered an environment that championed effective teaching and successful learning. This approach resulted in enhanced academic achievements and a thriving culture of education. One of her notable collaborations was the creation of the first Kindercamp in partnership with the United Way, a concept that has since been replicated in various schools. Dr. Ratcliff's commitment to holistic education was underscored by her endorsements in reading and gifted education, as well as her role as a facilitator of the reading endorsement course.

Recognizing her potential for executive leadership, Dr. Ratcliff was selected for the Clayton County Public Schools Executive Leadership Academy, a testament to her aptitude for strategic planning and program development. Her impact resonated beyond the school walls, earning her the Georgia Parent Teacher Association’s (PTA) Outstanding Principal Award, an accolade celebrating her dedication to fostering collaborative educational environments.

In April 2023, Dr. Sheneaise Ratcliff's exceptional contributions and expertise led to her promotion as the Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools within the Department of Teaching and Learning & Strategic Improvement. With an innovative and forward-thinking approach to education, she continues to shape the educational landscape, ensuring that teachers can teach, and students can learn, as she leads the charge for enhanced learning experiences and student achievements.
